We aim to make a positive contribution to the development of the ‘whole child’ in order for our children to become healthy, independent, safe and responsible members of society. We will use Thrive to develop the social, emotional, mental and physical health of every child.

In order to do this, Tollgate children will:

• have confidence in understanding, considering, and tackling many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up
• develop values and morals, and an understanding of rights and responsibilities that are in line with British Values
• be equipped to play a positive role in the wider community
• make informed choices and understand their right, as individuals, to make these choices
• learn to be safe and how to develop healthy relationships with their peers, both now and in their future lives
• use the school ethos and values to celebrate inclusivity and diversity
