PSHE and Relationship Sex and Health Education

Personal, social health and economic (PSHE) education is an important part of our pupil’s learning. It builds their knowledge and skills to keep them healthy and safe and prepare them for life and work. Our PSHE lessons also cover relationships, sex and health education (RSHE).

The key skills pupils learn are to:

  • empathise
  • ask questions
  • make informed decisions
  • maintain physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing
  • manage change including puberty and moving on to secondary school, and
  • respect equality and diversity and be a productive member of a diverse community

Pupils practice keys skills in context while exploring different themes.

  • Being me in my world
  • Celebrating differences
  • Dreams and goals
  • Healthy me
  • Relationships
  • Changing me

More details see our PSHE and RSHE programme for each Year group and our whole school RSHE programme.
